The 2010 Ice Hockey World Championships concluded Sunday in Cologne, Germany.
The Czech Republic defeated Russia 2-1.

Jakub Klepis gave the Czechs the lead 20 seconds in, and Tomas Rolinek made it 2-0 with less than two minutes left in the second period.  Russia was aiming for its third straight win since 2008. Taking the bronze medal is Sweden. Host country Germany took fourth place.
The Czechs have won the title six times since the separation of Czechoslovakia.

The 75th edition of the games will be hosted by Slovakia next year.
